The Caterham, Chaldon and Whyteleafe Neighbourhood Plan (CCWNP) was passed at referendum in May 2021 and adopted by Tandridge District Council in July 2021.

During the examination several policies were removed by the examiner because he felt that they overlapped areas of policy that would be covered by the emerging Tandridge Local Plan.

Three years on and the Tandridge Local Plan has failed. National Planning Policy changes in the pipeline will provide very generic detail to District Local Plans, to which important local detail must be added. The Neighbourhood Plan Implementation Group (CCWNPIG) has therefore concluded we must create additional policies to the Neighbourhood Plan (NP) in order to further shape development in the NP Area.
